Brake The Wake 2010

August 25, 2010

The great folks at WakeFactory.net put on a rail jam July 31, 2010 that was awesome as they always do but this time I won some money. Sweeeeet! There were so many big hitters in the Open Division that I decided to ride the Advanced Division and to my surprise won. I got best trick off the kicker $100 and best trick on the wall ride $100 then my homie Joe Taylor Jones got best trick on the roof top $100, then they suprised my with another $100 for being best over all rider. I was stoked out! I can’t wait to ride there again.

Open Division Results:
Nate Perry – Best Trick Roof Top and Overall Rider
Alex Graydon – Best Trick Kicker
David Luker – Best Trick Wall Ride

Advanced Results:
Seth Pangle – Best Trick Wall Ride, Kicker and Overall Rider
Joe Jones – Best Trick Roof Top

Check out the pics of me shredding those awesome rails.

S2S Video

Spring 2 Summer Video by Dirtbag Productions

I love Ian’s videos, especially when I’m in them haha. Spring 2 Summer had a good turn out this year and I can’t say enough about the city of Guntersville AL, THEY HAVE HOTELS ON THE LAKE how freaking cool is that. I also found some more pictures from the rail jam and I do like these shots.

Spring 2 Summer

June 4, 2010

Today begins the start of Spring2Summer Wakeboard contest in Guntersville Alabama, I think this is the biggest wakeboard event to go on in Alabama and it’s just an all around fun time. Things start off tonight with a rail jam then wakeboard contest for the next two days. I’m heading there as soon as I get off work and wish I could stay all weekend but this event always happens on my wedding anniversary weekend. I have to drive back Saturday evening and then will be leaving early Sunday morning with my wife and son to Wilderness in the Smokies. If you have a chance to go to Spring2Summer you will not be dissapointed though, Wake Factory does it right!

Shred the Naw

February 23, 2010

***All new posts will be under this one til March 20th***

*** Update *** Here is a picture of the setup!

I’m going to shred the Naw, come watch us on March 20th!

From ALWAKE.COM

ALWake.com and Wakefactory.net have teamed up with the Alabama Mountain Games and Shred Ready Helmets to bring you the AMG Rail Jam. The Alabama Mountain Games (previously Nawfest) has been a staple in the Kayaking scene for several years with 400-600 people showing up each year to enjoy the rad bands and cold adult beverages. The festivities actually begin on Thursday and go through Sunday but we’ll be doing our thing Saturday around 12:00.

The setup is on the Locus Fork river that runs behind a place called Boogie Bottoms. Bands will be jamming all day, concessions, movies (Wake and others) will be played at the onsite Drive-in screen, and all the “beverages” you can drink (as well as BYOB). We’ll be camping out all weekend in tents and cars to take in all the fun.

The contest setup is an invite only, 2.5 hour jam session. Thanks to Shred Ready, the purse is guaranteed $400 for 1st and $100 for second; but depending on what other sponsors get involved, additional swag and prize money may be added. The shred setup is a pool approximately 30 feet from the river… you’ll have two rail options to the water (land gap the whole way): a flat to down rail and a flat to banked “C” rail. The Wakefactory kicker will be anchored in the river as well. We’ll be pullin with a PWC to speed things up; so you’ll come out of the pool/land gap into the river, make a U-Turn, hit the kicker and then get slung back into shore… then the next rider hits. We’ll be able to session the spot as long as we want, but the contest will just be 2.5 hours in the afternoon.

We’re pretty stoked on the event and hope everybody comes out to party and watch some rail shred!
